Job DescriptionThe Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading and delivering complex projects on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires a dynamic leader with expertise in balancing strategic oversight with meticulous attention to detail. The Senior Project Manager must possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, guiding cross-functional teams through productive discussions and ensuring project objectives are met. He should act as a strategic partner to the business development, learning, and operations teams to ensure commitments made in proposals are realistic and profit-aligned. This role emphasizes continuous improvements that reduce delivery costs, shorten launch timelines, and improve learners' outcomes and customer satisfaction.
Project Planning and Execution
- Manage multiple complex projects in parallel.
- Oversee end-to-end delivery of learning programs, bootcamps, workforce development projects, and corporate upskilling initiatives.
- Establish project scope & roadmaps that align with organizational goals and customer expectations.
- Drive operational readiness for new projects launches including capacity planning, vendors mobilization, budget and timeline planning.
- Develop a comprehensive project plan to monitor, track progress and fulfill required outcomes.
- Deploy and enforce standardized PM artifacts (charters, dashboards, delivery plans, risk registers, governance templates, etc...).
- Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to ensure successful delivery.
- Coordinate internal resources & third parties/vendors to ensure resource availability & allocation for the flawless execution of projects.
- Establish reporting cadence: weekly status reports, monthly steering committees, client presentations.
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope & budget.
Stakeholder Management
- Actively manage relationships with all project stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and expectation management.
- Align with cross-functional departments (Learning, R&D, Marketing, Operations, and Tech) to remove blockers and maintain delivery momentum.
- Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders
& ensuring technical feasibility.
- Facilitate conflict resolution and problem-solving sessions to maintain the project's health.
Financial Management
- Review financial feasibility of projects before kickoff and highlight risks to profitability.
- Own the financial performance of each project, ensuring adherence to budget and achievement of targeted gross profit.
- Drive cost optimization through resource allocation, utilization control, and vendor negotiation.
- Prepare and present financial reports to key stakeholders, highlighting project profitability and financial health.
- Ensure billing milestones, documentation, and invoices are delivered accurately and on time.
Risk Management
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
- Proactively monitor risk factors throughout the project lifecycle and adjust plans accordingly.
- Raise red flags to leadership early with data-driven recommendations.
Continuous Improvement
- Initiate efforts to improve project management processes and tools, incorporating lessons learned from previous projects.
- Conduct retrospective workshops and integrate feedback to enhance future project delivery.
- Champion an Agile mindset and foster a culture of continuous learning & improvement within the project team.
- Drive automation of reporting and dashboards for department and projects KPIs.
Project Governance and Compliance
- Ensure all projects adhere to Sprints' Project Management & Delivery governance standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including standardized artifacts and reports.
- Ensure that all projects are completed with thorough closing activities, and that benefits
- are tracked or realized as per project goals.
Requirements
Education: Relevant Bachelor's Degree
Experience: Minimum 7 years of Professional Project Management experience
Skills:
- Proven experience in project management, preferably within the developmental sector or the L&D (Learning & Development) field.
- Demonstrated experience in project planning, execution, stakeholder management, and risk management.
- Demonstrated experience in managing cross-functional teams and delivering projects on time, within scope, and budget
- Excellent client-facing with Customer Centricity attitude
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- High proficiency in English, fluency is a must
- Project Dashboards creation using any tool
Certifications:
- PMP certification or any equivalent is a plus
- Agile Mindset & Framework understanding is a plus
- PMO, P3O Training, or any equivalent is a plus
